Only 38%1 of New Jersey fourth graders scored proficient in reading in 2024. Kids who grow up around books get 2.42 more years of school. And it doesn't take a library at home: about 203 books already makes a difference. That's two of our boxes.

Email us and we'll set up a drop-off or come pick up your box. No need to sort anything.

Students check every book, log it in our portal, and pull anything torn or written in.

Us: a Saturday morning.

Delivered.

Boxes go to classrooms, shelters, and families. Every logged book shows up on The Shelf.

Can I see where my books went?

Every book we log goes on The Shelf. Search for the title you gave us to see when it was logged and which chapter has it.

Do you work outside New Jersey?

Our books stay in New Jersey for now. Students anywhere in the US can apply to start a chapter in their own town.

Can I volunteer?

Yes. Sorting days and book drives always need hands. Email us and we'll tell you what's coming up.
